Hi! My name is Hank and I'm excited to meet you. I am a bit shy with other dogs and would like to choose to come and meet them before they run up to me. I am crate trained and my previous owner reports that potty training was hard for me. Please ask our behavior team for more advice on how to teach me great potty habits. I do love spending time on the couch with you and enjoy sleeping in bed with you at night. I love all sorts of toys and can't wait to wrestle or tug with you!

Ask my adoption counselor for tips on potty training! A new routine will help me learn in no time.

More Rehabilitation, More Saved Lives: We treat broken bones, skin and ear infections, heartworms, and more.

Extensive Behavior Training: We teach volunteers, adopters, the public and other animal shelter personnel so that they can train the animals.

Proactive Animal Cruelty Investigation: Every call reporting a suspected animal cruelty is acted on.. We handle more than 1,500 investigations/reinvestigations each year.

Abuse Prevention Training: We develop and deliver programs for Middle/High School students, social workers and law enforcement professionals.

Disaster Response/Animal Recovery: We work with the Humane Society of the United States to deploy Bay Area Disaster Animal Response Team (DART) volunteers after disasters strike.

Education & Dispute Resolution: We work with high risk youth through the 6th Judicial Circuit Court’s Juvenile Diversion Program.

Pet Care Seminars: Our annual series of seminars has been available to the public since 1995.
