Sammie's Friends is a 501©(3) non-profit corporation. We provide medical care for the animals at the Nevada County Shelter, making them adoptable, and we support other disadvantaged animals in Nevada County that would otherwise be euthanized to end their suffering. Sammie's Friends also operates the Nevada County Animal Shelter. WE ARE A NO KILL SHELTER!
Rachel is an adult female who came to the shelter as a stray. She was found in a garage in Big Oak Valley. The man who brought her in said she had been around for a few months. Rachel was previously spayed, so she was probably loved once and then abandoned. She is a very friendly girl who is always looking for affection.

NOTE: Some shelters have physical locations you can visit; some of these shelters may only have pets for a limited time, so please do not wait for a reply—just go visit the shelter! Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply. You can find information about the shelter or rescue group caring for this pet, and their adoption procedures, on the pet's details page on Adopt-a-Pet.com.
