Ted's Story...
Hi my name is Ted! I’m a 3 yr old chocolate lab. I’m a little guy with lots of love to give!
I am a quiet, gentle dog that stays off the furniture and doesn't chew anything that I’m not supposed to. I walk well on a leash, am crate trained and I love running around the back yard with my foster sister. I’m scared of meeting new people so I need you to be patient with me to build my confidence. Once I bond with you though, I will love you and follow you everywhere! (My foster mom says she doesn’t need an escort to the bathroom every time, but I disagree!). I’m looking for someone who will love me and be by my side to show me the world.

If you are interested in this dog, please fill out an application at www.DLRRphoenix.org. Someone will call to schedule a home visit so you can become an approved adopter. Also, visit our wonderful Facebook page at www.facebook/desertlab. Thanks!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ted, a Phoenix Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
