Hi, my name is Rhya!  I am a very sweet 4 year old Brittany who loves to be loved on and give it right back.  I’m a laid back girl with a beautiful long tail who loves to be brushed.  Unlike many of my Brittany cousins, I don’t have a hyper bone in my body! I prefer to be as close to you as I can get.  If you come in from being outside I will “woof” so that you know I am here for you.

My foster mom says I can be a bit jealous when it comes to getting all the attention in the house so if my foster sister tries to steal some away from me, I may give her a little snarl.  When foster mom tells me “No” and I just look at her and wag my tail.

I love to go for walks in the morning and evenings when it is cooler outside. I follow my foster sister around the fenced-in yard and have no desire to jump the fence or try to get out.  At night I sleep on the couch in a nice, snuggly blanket or I’m happy on a carpet or blanket on the floor. I do not get up on the bed.

I would do best with another dog who is as laid back as I am to cuddle with and just hang out.  I'd also love to have someone home with me during the day.  In the past I have been anxious when crated and left alone during the day. My foster Dad is retired and I have not been anxious at all. I get a bit nervous during thunder storms but a reassuring pat and a soothing word puts me at ease.

My foster sister and I stay out of the kitchen when it’s mealtime and know if foster mom says “out” we have to leave.  I also know how to sit, come, stay and am very good at smelling out any treat you might have (even if behind your back).

If you have room in your heart and home for Rhya, please contact Denise Turgeon at  Rhya is being fostered in Florida and can be transported up to 1,200 miles by our Canine Railroad.  Her adoption fee is $375.00.

About Our Rescue Group...

National Brittany Rescue and Adoption Network is a national group of over 300 members, all volunteer, that are dedicated to saving the Brittany Breed.
Even though I am in the South East, NBRAN is national.
All states work together to help make sure that each Brittany has a chance to find a new Forever Family.

Come Meet Our Pets...

All of our children are listed on the NBRAN web site

We have listings seperated into different regions of the US, so there is someone close to you willing to help find your new "BEST FRIEND"

Our Adoption Process...

After filling an application for adoption, a home visit and follow-up will help make sure that the Brittany you have chosen is the best fit for your lifestyle and the dog.
Adoption fees are based on age and medical expense incured during the Foster period. Generally runnung $200 to $400 with the young dogs being the higher amount.
An Adoption Contract must be signed and agreed to before placement of the Brittany.
This is your promise to give the best home and care for your new family member.
