About Waccamaw Animal Rescue Mission

About Our Rescue Group...

Waccamaw Animal Rescue Mission, known as WARM, is a non-profit NO-KILL animal refuge. WARM rescues and rehabilitates wildlife, farm and domestic animals. Domestic animals are adopted to new loving guardians. Farm animals are adopted to small family farms and wildlife is returned to the wild away from human habitation. Those animals that cannot be released or are not adopted or adoptable, live out their lives at the WARM farm. Animals at WARM are euthanized only as the last resort - when their pain and suffering cannot be alleviated. All animals are given every possible chance for life. WARM is a local organization and operates totally on private donations and fund-raising events. It is not funded by the city, county or any national organization. WARM is dedicated to helping animals and is working hard to alleviate the suffering of the strays, the abandoned, and the abused. Saving lives is what WARM is all about.

Come Meet Our Pets...

All of our pets for adoption can be seen on our website at www.warmfarms.org. WARM lost its adoption center in December, 2007 in Inlet Square Mall, due to new ownership and renovation. Until we find a new location for our adoption center, please call Julie at 843-347-6583 or write to warm@sccoast.net if you are interested in adopting one of our animals.

Our Adoption Process...

If someone is interested in adopting one of WARM's animals, an Adoption Application must be filled out. Our Adoption Specialist conducts a personal interview, references are checked and there is usually a home visit, especially if there are other pets in the home.
