Lhasa Apso/Cairn Terrier Mix Dog for adoption in Boulder, Colorado - Snow-ADOPTION PENDING

I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

I am up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

There are many, many Terrier and Lhasa Apso lovers in the dog world...both breeds are considered to be cute as can be as well as great family members. This is due to their consistently great temperaments and overall intelligence. There's also no question that they're strikingly beautiful with their amazing coats and soft, expressive eyes.

Snow is an extremely cute Lhasa/Cairn Terrier mix. It's difficult to tell in this photo (due to his need for a sudsy bath and haircut to give his coat an opportunity to grow in healthy and Terrier-scruffy). Snow is 18 - 24 months old and 17 lbs... and so kind and waggy with all dogs and humans that he got temperament tested with. He seems to have overcome any ill feelings and appears to be at peace regarding the challenges of his earlier life.

Both the Terrier and Lhasa Apso breeds are solid combinations both physically and in stability of temperament. It is for this reason that they seem to acclimate and be outstanding family members no matter their past lives. It's safe to say that Snow has learned to live in harmony with every kind of being...he seems to have derived a true peace from overcoming the trials that he's experienced. We feel strongly that Snow's forever family should have the motivation to continue his socialization and offer him the gift of positive reinforcement group obedience training classes. Through these clear boundaries and leadership by his humans, Snow will emerge as a well-adjusted and very bonded companion. He's so gorgeous both inside and out and deserves a family that appreciates the gift of his temperament and is willing to show him boundaries through love and time spent.

We are searching for an active family...either retirees or families with older, gentle and dog-loving kids. Another like-sized, fun doggie playmate and a fenced yard would be great for Snow. He (like all dogs) is happier and therefore more well-behaved if he's fulfilled with exercise and fun followed by snuggling close with his favorite people. It would be a family who spend lots of time at home (or chooses to take a sweet dog with them to dog-friendly situations) who would provide a great forever home for Snow. He would enjoy the time spent together and would blossom with a family that considers their dog a valued member of the family.

We've requested that Snow be neutered prior to his transport to Denver. If this doesn't occur, Farfel's is happy to cover all costs for Snow's microchip and neuter if our Denver vet is used.

Snow will arrive on transport in Boulder on Tuesday 10/4/16. Applications are currently being accepted for this sweet and devoted companion and can be found at If interested in a fuzzy best friend, please fill out and return to or fax to 303-443-7730.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Snow-ADOPTION PENDING, a Boulder Lhasa Apso/Cairn Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Lhasa Apso/Cairn Terrier for sale in Boulder, or seeking a Lhasa Apso/Cairn Terrier dog from a breeder in Boulder.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Boulder already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Boulder breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Lhasa Apso/Cairn Terrier breeders who help with Lhasa Apso/Cairn Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Boulder paves the way for another one to be saved.
