Latifa's Story...
In July, my new life began! My name is LATIFA and I am one of the Independence Day Pugs rescued by K9 Mills Rescue for DFW Pug Rescue from a puppy mill. I am 8 years old and have spent my whole life birthin’ babies. Those days are behind me now. I am feeling much better since I was treated for heart worms. In my foster home I am learning to walk on a leash and play with toys. I love my bed and am doing super well with my potty training. My foster mom says I am such a sweet girl! I love to be near you and may get a little afraid when you leave, but it’s because I just love my people so much! So far being 8 is just the best year of my life! If you have a lap big enough for me, I am your girl! Be sure to mention me, Latifa, on your adoption application at

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Latifa, a Grapevine Pug dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pug for sale in Grapevine, or seeking a Pug dog from a breeder in Grapevine.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grapevine already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grapevine breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pug breeders who help with Pug rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grapevine paves the way for another one to be saved.
