My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Acorn is the smallest mare from Jackson TN. She is one of the RRR horses and lucky to be alive. She is probably pregnant (all the mares were with stallions). She is absolutely beautiful and very small. She has some lameness in her front legs and is another one of the mares with stringhalt. She and several of the other horses from this cruelty case have some classic symptoms of stringhalt caused by trying to eat plants that are not safe for horses. This has caused her to have an abnormal gait in her back legs but is not a sever case and is not causing any type of balance issues. She should make a full recovery now that she is in a safe environment getting proper nutrition. We will be addressing her front leg issues to determine if it is related to her hoof care needs or something else like arthritis. She is one of the shy ones and will need some extra TLC to learn to trust people an be a friend again. She is available to foster and is up to date on shots and coggins.
