BLONDIE's Story...
BLONDIE is a golden retriever/Chow chow mix. She is nine years old and the mother of RAVEN, also at our shelter. She is house trained, walks nicely on a leash with out pulling, and is exceptionally gentle. We are listing her as special needs because she had a seizure and is now on an inexpensive medication that controls this. Her coat was matted and had to be shaved but is growing back in nicely. BLONDIE is a sweetheart, through and through. Truly one of the sweetest, calmest dogs we have seen.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

BLONDIE, a Indiana Golden Retriever/Chow Chow dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Chow Chow for sale in Indiana, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Chow Chow dog from a breeder in Indiana.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Indiana already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Indiana breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Chow Chow breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Chow Chow rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Indiana paves the way for another one to be saved.
