My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Take a look at Tyson! He's a super cute 6 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback/Shepherd mix. Tyson was adopted from a rescue in Texas. His family abandoned him. His new owners moved to Ohio with him, but are currently living with family and cannot keep him. This handsome boy is a lover! He lived with another dog and likes other dogs, but needs to be the dominant one. Tyson isn't that into toys but likes ropes to chew. He likes a long walk or a car ride. He is a mellow guy except when it comes to cats. NO CATS!! Tyson is house trained and has manners in the home too. This poor fellow has been terrified since his arrival. Once again he feels abandoned. Tyson is slowly feeling more comfortable each and everyday. Please ask for Tyson at the front desk. A staff member will help you with the meet and greet. Take it slow and his dynamic personality will slowly start to show.

If you have kids and/or another dog in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours.

All dogs receive one or more vaccinations, a basic veterinary examination, are wormed, heartworm tested and spayed or neutered. Dogs 3 months and older are micro-chipped.
