Ivy (Spayed) - Update's Story...
"Ivy" is a delightful 10-month old female kitty who was surrendered by her owner on July 29, 2016. This beautiful young lady has a dark brown-and-black short smooth coat in a tabby pattern with bronze shading throughout her coat, a long tail, and an adorable chubby-looking face with dark golden eyes and a tiny white milk mustache. "Ivy" has a playful, easygoing personality and loves to push her paws through the bars of her cage for attention when visitors walk by. She was given vaccinations and wormer on July 29, 2016. "Ivy" was already spayed when she entered our shelter and was given rabies vaccine on August 3, 2016. She is a full-figured kitty who weighs approximately 10 lbs. These updated photos of "Ivy" were taken on September 29, 2016, and she has become even more beautiful these days! She was a joy to photograph as she posed for new glamour pictures and politely asked for attention :) Her quiet, easygoing personality makes this girl a real charmer. "Ivy" enjoyed the novelty of the fall arrangements in her photo backdrops but was less than thrilled about wearing a tiny Halloween hat even though we thought it was very cute on her. "Ivy" was combo tested on December 27, 2016 and is negative for feline leukemia, FIV, and heartworm.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ivy (Spayed) - Update, a Marietta Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
