Smeagol came into the shelter from a terrible situation. She and her siblings had been living in an outside pen without shelter from the elements for their entire lives. According to the place they came from, the pups are Chihuahua / Terrier mixes, explaining their distinct looks.
All of the pups had been adopted and most have learned how to trust and are doing amazingly well. Smeagol was adopted with one of her sisters but unfortunately the girls were exhibiting signs of littermate syndrome which ultimately caused their family to make the difficult decision to give one of the girls up so that they could thrive separately.
Smeagol is back with us while we find her forever home and we can already see the progress that she has made while with the family. She has almost mastered potty training, she walks great on her leash and she has become much more outgoing and much less timid.
Are you the perfect forever home for Smeagol?
