Butterscotch (Neutered)'s Story...
"Butterscotch" is a handsome 7-year old male kitty who was surrendered to the HSOV on September 30, 2016 because his owner was undergoing surgery and was no longer able to care for his beloved cat :( "Butterscotch" has a white-and-orange medium smooth coat, a long tail, and an adorable face with green/gold eyes, a pink nose, and the cutest dark orange 'beauty marks' on his muzzle/chin. This big guy is understandably pretty nervous sitting in a large cage in an unfamiliar place with other cats surrounding him since he has been accustomed to having the freedom of his very own home. "Butterscotch" was given vaccinations and wormer on September 30, 2016. He has already been neutered. Butterscotch is in need of a grooming sessin since he has some matted fur throughout his longer-haired coat, so he will hopefully be spending some time with one of favorite kitty groomers in the near future.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Butterscotch (Neutered), a Marietta Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
