My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello and good evening everyone...I would like to introduce myself...my name is #RitaBPFF...It's a pleasure to meet you...I wanna tell you all my story...well it all began...a few weeks ago...when I was wandering around...lost...alone...and terribly scared...I didn't know my way home...someone with a very kind heart...picked me up...and brought me to a place called Animal-Care-Control-Palm-Bch Cty they didn't have any way to find my family...because I didn't have an collar with my name on...and I didn't have a microchip either...sooo I sat and waited and waited to see if my family would try to find me...and while I waited I had a physical and if things could get any worse...they saw I have very bad worms in my heart...and I was terrified at that moment...my future wasn't looking very bright at that moment...but I stayed strong...and a very kind doctor found out what was wrong...and she said she would treat my bad worms...if I could go to a rescue afterwards...and can you guess what rescue they contacted...yes...they called aunt Liz from BarkyPinesAnimalRescueSanctuary and asked if she could help...and she said yes...yes she could and yes she would...and guess what happened today? Aunt Liz came to ACC with her sister aunt Mary...and they signed me out...ajnd off I went to the doctors...I am getting my treatments right away...and I couldn't be more grateful than I am right now...it's a miracle how things have changed for me....from being out all alone...wandering around...sick...scared alone...to meeting such kind humans...who are taking care of me...and my bad worms...and aunt Liz told me today...that once I'm better...she has no doubt that I will find a beautiful forever home...I am 2 years old...and I am super sweet I'm told...I do love to give kisses...and although I just meet all these wonderful people I felt a comfort in their care...things can only get better from here...well gotta go get my rest...a big day tomorrow...I promise to keep you all posted on how I'm doing...thank you for reading my story...thank you for caring...and especially for sharing...your friend Rita...woof woof -m-
Update: I’ve gotten my treatments...and I feel great...I guess I didn’t have a severe case of heartworms but nonetheless....I pray all of you...take the preventative measures every month...to keep all your pets...heartworm free...P.S...I am 2 years old...I weigh about 9lbs...I’m very outgoing and friendly...I love to give kisses..and I get along with pups of all sizes and ages...thank you..
