Chiquita came to our rescue with 3 of her offspring. She was previously living in an overcrowded rescue. We agreed to lighten their load and help these babies find their forever homes. When we first picked up Chiquita she was extremely overweight and didn't move around much. Now she is a spunky little dog with a little prance in her walk. Chiquita is amazing because she isn't afraid of anyone or anything. Every day is a party and she is front and center to enjoy it. Whether it's giant puppies, aggressive little dogs, farm animals, or humans, she's never shown a bit of fear.

You may have seen Chiquita at some of our events, she likes to wear a banana costume! We do not know her age, but we suspect she is older than the rescue led us to believe. She's up to date on her shots, spayed and microchipped.

Her adoption fee is $300. If you would like to meet this sweet lady, fill out an online application.

About The Rescued Pup

About Our Rescue Group...

The Rescued Pup is an all breed, all size, all age rescue. All of our dogs come from high-intake / low funded shelters, or other situations where they are at risk of being euthanized.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our pets stay in homes with their foster families and are located mainly in San Diego County, CA. An application is required to visit our pets.

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption process is broken down into 4 steps.

Step 1 begins with filling out an application.

Step 2 is a meet and greet with your family members/roommates and existing dogs. (Puppies under 4 months of age will not meet existing dogs)

Step 3 is a home visit. Where we verify the following:
~Where will the dog sleep
~Where will the dog be kept when no one is home
~Where will the dog play

Step 4 is the final step and is when you sign the contract and pay the adoption fee.
