Adeline's Story...
We'll never know how sweet little Adeline became lost and alone on the city streets but thankfully, she was found and brought to the safety of our Newark facility. She was matted and neglected upon arrival and after a nice long bath, Adeline is all sparkling clean again and ready to start life over. She's with us now at AHS/Popcorn Park and we love this little sweetie pie. Adeline is a very mellow, friendly little lady that is about a year old and does not have much shyness about her. Within minutes of meeting you she'll be standing on her hind legs, begging you for some attention. She is very affectionate and loving, and belongs on someone's lap getting lots of love. Adeline is very well behaved and is the perfect lady while out for a walk. She will sit nicely when asked and takes treats gently. She has little interest in toys, preferring to be with you rather than play. Adeline seems just fine with other sweet and mellow dogs such as herself and would bring so much happiness to the good family that adopts her. File#26658 8/24/16

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Adeline, a Forked River Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Maltese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Maltese for sale in Forked River, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Maltese dog from a breeder in Forked River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Forked River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Forked River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Maltese breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Forked River paves the way for another one to be saved.
