Choochie arrived at our rescue with his 3 family members. He was previously named Poochie but we decided to change his name. We think he is around 4-6 years old.

This guy is so adorable and loves to have one on one time with humans. He does fine with other dogs, although he is not an alpha so he acts timid. Choochie was a lot like Mikey, his brother, afraid of many things. He wasn't as bad as Mikey, but a close second. With positive training, consistency and love he has come around to be a sweet dog that trusts people. Choochie was even asking for treats from visitors at our last event!

Choochie LOVES his schedule and even wants to go into his crate to sleep in the same order every night. He turns around and backs up to us so we can pick him up. He is so funny! His new owner will enjoy his playful personality.

He is up to date with his shots, neutered and microchipped. His adoption fee is $300 and includes a dental.

To get the process started, or to arrange for a private meet and greet, please fill out an online application.

About The Rescued Pup

About Our Rescue Group...

The Rescued Pup is an all breed, all size, all age rescue. All of our dogs come from high-intake / low funded shelters, or other situations where they are at risk of being euthanized.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our pets stay in homes with their foster families and are located mainly in San Diego County, CA. An application is required to visit our pets.

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption process is broken down into 4 steps.

Step 1 begins with filling out an application.

Step 2 is a meet and greet with your family members/roommates and existing dogs. (Puppies under 4 months of age will not meet existing dogs)

Step 3 is a home visit. Where we verify the following:
~Where will the dog sleep
~Where will the dog be kept when no one is home
~Where will the dog play

Step 4 is the final step and is when you sign the contract and pay the adoption fee.
