Meet Shasta, Denali, Jefferson, and Whitney! These four, purebred Australian Shepherds pups came to us recently after being taken from a backyard breeding situation. They are incredibly sweet, adventurous, and friendly!

These pups are about 8 weeks old and weigh under 10 pounds each. Like most Aussies they will be about 25-40 pounds fully grown. They have been living in foster care and are extremely socialized and sweet! They do great with kids, dogs, and even cats!

Shasta, Denali, Jefferson, and Whitney are "double merles," meaning two merle Australian Shepherds were bred together. The problem with mating two merles together is that many of their puppies are born with visual or hearing impairments. As a result of this bad breeding, these puppies can't hear or see. Although many are daunted by the idea of owning a dog with a disability, they really are like any other dog! They are extremely intelligent, active, and loving dogs. We love helping "underdogs" here at Family Dog Rescue and know these dogs make amazing companions!

Like any other puppies, they will need homes who will be committed to providing the time, energy, and training required to form the well-rounded dogs we know they can be!

If you'd like to meet one of these remarkable pups, please fill out an adoption application!
