Willy's Story...
Willy is one of the friendliest dogs that we have met recently coming into our rescue. This little guy never stops wagging his tail. Willy was an unclaimed stray at our shelter before coming to the rescue. Willy weighs about 10 pounds he's a little underweight right now and he is also heartworm positive. Coming to the rescue Willy has been given all of his vaccinations, he is neutered, and micro chipped . Willy will undergo heartworm treatment at the expense of the rescue. But it will be very important that he remains on medication prior to treatment and after Treatment to make it a success. Willy is one of the best little pups he's so friendly and so happy. He is about 95% housebroken and we are working on finishing up that percentage to make it 100%. Willy is in a foster home in the Fort Myers Florida area and this rescue does not adopt out-of-state. If you would like to meet Willy please visit our website At and submit an application. Willy's adoption fee is $250.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Willy, a Lehigh Silky Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Silky Terrier for sale in Lehigh, or seeking a Silky Terrier dog from a breeder in Lehigh.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lehigh already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lehigh breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Silky Terrier breeders who help with Silky Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lehigh paves the way for another one to be saved.
