We thought that he must be a Boston Terrier mix but both parents are known and they are both Chihuahuas. Gus is 5 years old and just about 10 lbs. He is just a little nugget of a thing, and so adorable!
When meeting new people Gus may make a fuss but calms down once he realizes you can be trusted. One of our volunteers went out to meet him and he was a little protective of his mom at first but once our volunteer took him off for a walk on his own they did fine together. At the house, Gus was aloof but okay, then a treat bribe came out and he came up on the couch with his new human friend!
Gus needs a home without little children. He hasn't lived with another dog and isn't always polite when he meets other dogs. We have no cat info but his family thinks he would chase them.

Please note, we do not have a physical facility where our dogs are housed, they are cared for in our network of wonderful foster homes throughout New England. If you find a dog you would like to meet, our expectation is that, once approved, you will travel to meet the dog in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.
