BO's Story...
I am a 7 year old male red dapple standard size 22 pound dachshund. I am the litter mate brother to Lexi. If give about 30 minutes i will love you for ever but in the beginning i come off and grumpy and mean. I also do well with older children if they are calm at firs meeting. i do not do well with them in my face. I will protect Lexi until i trust my human and then am ok. I have a tendancy to get constipated easily so i will need Pumpkin added into my food daily or kept on a digestive dog food. i am neutered, shots current, heart worm and tic disease free and chipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

BO, a Lubbock Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Lubbock, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Lubbock.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lubbock already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lubbock breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lubbock paves the way for another one to be saved.
