My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Celeste!. She is such a darling! These poor babies(she came in with Cooper and Chase) were confiscated from a home in WVA were they were being severely neglected. They came to us matted and covered in fleas and emaciated. Their brother, Cooper, is so painfully thin, he is staying with us a little while longer for rehab. You would never know by how loving they are that they were so severely neglected. They are snugglers extraordinaire, and they always want to be with you. She has done great with housebreaking! They have a while to go before they look like their gorgeous selves, but they will absolutely get there. Their fur will grow out, their bodies will fill out, and they will live happily ever after! If you want either of them to live their happily ever after with you, then you must be willing to give them all of the TLC they deserve. They will also require vitamins and the best quality food with several small meals a day. In life, they will need grooming and regular vet care, just as any dog would. We do not have papers but we believe Chase is a Bichon and Celeste is a Bichon/Yorkie. We KNOW they are WONDERFUL dogs and companions! Great on leashes and great in the car. They are wonderful with people, dogs and cats. They are altered, current on vaccines, and heart worm negative. UPDATE 10/27/16 Celeste is looking great and feeling great! She is SUCH a sweetheart and such a good girl! She loves to be with you and is a great companion! Ideally, she will go to a forever family that is able to minimize her down time. She is WORTH it! We love her in her foster home!
If interested in adopting, please visit www.masrescue.org and click on "Adopt Here". The adoption fee is $250.00. Please Note: 100% of all the adoption fees collected are used to care for the animals, and pay our ever increasing vet bill. We appreciate your interest in adopting from a rescue organization. We understand the desire to meet our "cuties" as soon as possible, but because we operate entirely out of foster homes, we need to limit visitation to approved applicants only. Once your completed application is submitted by you and approved by MASR, we will be glad to schedule your visit. This dog has been examined by our vet, spayed or neutered (if not previously done), vaccinations updated, heartworm negative, and has been microchipped. Breed Selection is 'Best Efforts' given by shelter staff, veterinarians and rescue volunteers. NO guarantees are implied. Dogs benefit greatly from Obedience Training - and we encourage you to check out http://www.pupsdogobediencetraining.com/ . They offer a great discount for training of dogs coming from MAS Rescue! Please note that small breeds are not well designed for families with young children as everything about them is more delicate and will require careful handling. Remember adoption is a commitment for the lifetime of your new furry friend; dogs could live 15 years or more!!
