Chase's Story...
Meet Chase (and Celeste). 2 darling dogs! These poor babies were confiscated from a home in WVA were they were being severely neglected. They came to us matted and covered in fleas and emaciated. Their brother, Cooper, is so painfully thin, he is staying with us a little while longer for rehab. You would never know by how loving they are that they were so severely neglected. They are snugglers extraordinaire, and they always want to be with you. They are doing very well with housebreaking, especially given that they did not come to is housebroken. They have a while to go before they look like their gorgeous selves, but they will absolutely get there. Their fur will grow out, their bodies will fill out, and they will live happily ever after! If you want either of them to live their happily ever after with you, then you must be willing to give them all of the TLC they deserve. They will also require vitamins and the best quality food with several small meals a day. In life, they will need grooming and regular vet care, just as any dog would. We do not have papers but we believe Chase is a Bichon and Celeste is a Bichon/Yorkie. We KNOW they are WONDERFUL dogs and companions! Great on leashes and great in the car. They are wonderful with people, dogs and cats. Celeste doesn't love to share a lap so we will take that into consideration when picking the best match. They are altered, current on vaccines, and heart worm negative.. They do not need to be adopted together.
If interested in adopting, please visit www.masrescue.org and click on "Adopt Here". The adoption fee is $250.00. Please Note: 100% of all the adoption fees collected are used to care for the animals, and pay our ever increasing vet bill. We appreciate your interest in adopting from a rescue organization. We understand the desire to meet our "cuties" as soon as possible, but because we operate entirely out of foster homes, we need to limit visitation to approved applicants only. Once your completed application is submitted by you and approved by MASR, we will be glad to schedule your visit. This dog has been examined by our vet, spayed or neutered (if not previously done), vaccinations updated, heartworm negative, and has been microchipped. Breed Selection is 'Best Efforts' given by shelter staff, veterinarians and rescue volunteers. NO guarantees are implied. Dogs benefit greatly from Obedience Training - and we encourage you to check out http://www.pupsdogobediencetraining.com/ . They offer a great discount for training of dogs coming from MAS Rescue! Please note that small breeds are not well designed for families with young children as everything about them is more delicate and will require careful handling. Remember adoption is a commitment for the lifetime of your new furry friend; dogs could live 15 years or more!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chase, a Baltimore Bichon Frise dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bichon Frise for sale in Baltimore, or seeking a Bichon Frise dog from a breeder in Baltimore.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baltimore already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baltimore breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bichon Frise breeders who help with Bichon Frise rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baltimore paves the way for another one to be saved.
