Luna's Story...
Over the moon with joy! Seized from neglectful Hoarder, LUNA is painfully thin. At 4 pounds, every bone protrudes. LUNA is only 2 years old, but we are now scrambling to get her a dental as the lack of nutrition made a mess of her tiny teeth. How does all this affect our little LUNA? Not one little bit! The moment her eyes open, she is ready to play, play, play!!! LUNA can still be a bit wobbly, but she just giggles and keeps right at it! She’ll invites play with other dogs, humans, bugs…air… LUNA thinks it is all fun! Suddenly, she’ll stop mid-stride, look for the nearest lap, and simply fall out! She eats with gusto and starts all over again! LUNA *just* arrived at ACR and is gaining a little weight each day. Healthier! Happier! LUNA is over the moon!

LUNA is an adoptable Chihuahua in Central Texas through Ay Chihuahua Rescue. For further information, visit www.aychihuahuarescue.org/adopt. For more pictures of LUNA, visit www.aychihuahuarescue.org/available-dogs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Luna, a AUSTIN Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in AUSTIN, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in AUSTIN.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in AUSTIN already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a AUSTIN breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in AUSTIN paves the way for another one to be saved.
