Meet Captain!

Captain is the happiest boy! He knew he was safe when we put that leash around his neck at the kennel.  He trotted out of that building, head held high stopping by every volunteer so they could give him one last pet.  See, Captain was a shelter favorite and everyone loved him.  His spots tell us he has some australian cattle dog mix in him and his smile says he'll make some lucky family so happy for many years!

We'd love to get him in a foster home so we can see just how far that smile goes when he gets the luxury of learning what having a family is like!  Fill out an application today and meet Captain!

SHR covers all expenses associated with fostering!

About Scout's Honor Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Scout’s Honor Rescue is an all-breed, no-kill, Not-For-Profit 501(c)(3) animal rescue organization committed to bringing Courage, Character and Compassion to Houston’s homeless pet population and making a positive difference in the lives of these stray and abandoned animals and the Houston community as a whole. 100% of every dollar donated goes directly to saving the life of a homeless animal.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Scout's Honor Rescue does not currently have its own facility to keep the animals in its adoption program. All animals in our program are fostered by individuals who keep the dog or cat at their residence until it is adopted. Consider opening your home to a dog or cat in need. You become the caregiver to a precious animal – their future is in your hands! It is incredibly rewarding to know that you have given that animal the two most precious gifts- Life and Love. For many of them, this is the first kind hand they have known.

Our Adoption Process...

SHR will require an application and home visit for the adoption of any of our animals. The customary adoption fee is $150 for dogs $85 for cats.
