About Chihuahua Rescue Midwest

About Our Rescue Group...

Thanks for taking a minute to look at our sweet Chihuahua friends. We look forward to assisting you in the adoption process.
Chihuahua Rescue Midwest is a non profit organization. We are an all volunteer rescue, transport, foster and adoption organization. We believe that irresponsible breeding of animals (especially for profit - puppy mills) is unethical and inhumane. We hope that pet owners will consider adoption as their first choice for selecting a new pet. We believe every pet deserves a chance to have a loving forever home.

Our Adoption Process...

You will be required to fill out an adoption application. Once the application is processed the foster family will contact you to discuss the details of your application, review your Vet reference and schedule a home visit.
The adoption fees for each dog can vary and is based on the accumulated expenses (Vet bills, shelter fees, pull fees) and a nominal adoption fee to cover our administrative expenses. We prefer cash but will accept checks.
Must be 18 years of age

A vet reference is required. If you do not have a Vet you must supply us with the name and phone number of the Vet you will be using.
Two personal references (not family)
All pets in the household must be fixed and fully vetted.
Adopters are required to make arrangement with the foster parent for transportation. A transportation fee can be charge for transporting over 50 miles.
If renting the landlords phone number is required to verify that pets are allowed in the rental property
