LORELEI - DSH, female, spayed, black, DOB 2010

Do you live in a mature home and give really good chin scratches?  Then you might be a perfect match for Lorelei.

Lorelei is a quirky girl who is really just misunderstood.  Her foster mom says she is a nice girl but she doesn't leave you with a good first impression.  Lorelei can purr, hiss and growl at the same time.  She can be quite vocal.  She sounds like an evil cat but she truly isn't.  She doesn't bite or scratch she just grumbles.  We think she is actually scared and this is her warning to others to protect herself.  She tolerates most other cats but would be best either on her own or with a laid back cat.  She likes to sit in enclosed spaces where she can watch the action but feels safe and secure.  It has been suggested that she might be a Bombay cross as she has many of the characteristics.  She can be quite playful if you engage with her.  She loves a good chin scratch and her fur is so thick and soft.  She looks like a panther.  Lorelei is looking for that someone special who can see the real Lorelei inside.  Someone who will make her feel secure and give her the unconditional love that she wants.  She had been scheduled to be put down at the shelter and we gave her a second chance.  Can you be that person who will give her a forever home?

About Neveah's Charity of West Lincoln

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a small group of volunteers who are determined to help care for abandoned, neglected and unwanted cats in different areas and from the High Volume Shelter in Hamilton. This group of volunteers dedicates their time and energy with receiving only two rewards: great pride in rescuing cats and earning the satisfaction that they did a good thing.

We strive to rehabilitate and re-home most of the cats that come into our care. We use a hands on approach to help cats so they may become family pets. We ensure that each individual receives the special attention required to make this possible.

We are a no kill shelter and believe that all felines deserve another chance whether it is in a forever home or simply here with us at the facility.

We are strictly a non-profit organization and receives no funds from any agency, corporation or the government. We rely solely on the kindness and generosity of the public and community.

Neveah (mascot) changed our outlook on cats and how badly they need us to take care of them. We decided to open a Charity in dedication to Neveah's strength and our determination - more information on Neveah's story available at:

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our foster cats are located in private homes and several pet stores across the area. If you would like to meet some of them please contact us at or call 905-920-0003 or 905-517-0201 to set up an appointment to meet your perfect match.

Our Adoption Process...

Each cat is vet checked, de-wormed, treated for fleas, spay/neutered, micro chipped and vaccinated according to the cat's age while in our care. We charge an adoption fee of $195.00 for a kitten and $175 for an adult cat. However, if you are looking to adopt two feline friends we charge $350 for a pair of kittens and $300 for a pair of adults.

If one of our rescues captures your heart, please print, fill out and email us an adoption application form (you may download one from our website).

Upon review and acceptance of your application a meeting will be arranged to meet the cat(s) of your choice. If you meet the requirements we will follow through with the adoption where an adoption contact/agreement will be read and signed.
