Maria's Story...
We just love the one floppy ear on this girl. Maria is a year old German Shepherd mix weighing 33 pounds. We don’t expect her to get much larger. She has a medium to high energy level and just loves to play. Maria is always up for a game of catch or splashing around in her little wading pool. She has such a winning personality she gets along with dogs of any temperament. We don’t recommend a home with cats, however, as she tends to give chase. Maria loves her humans and is good with children. She has been spayed, dewormed and given all her vaccinations. Rescued by our sister organization in Mexico she has made her way to foster care in Vancouver. This affectionate, fun loving little girl would make a wonderful companion animal. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maria, a Victoria German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Victoria, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Victoria.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Victoria already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Victoria breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Victoria paves the way for another one to be saved.
