We were called by a nice lady that this dog was in a yard and that people who owned the house wouldn't feed her. She was a stray and of course not every one welcomes them. We went and picked her up and took her to Advanced Animal Hospital where she was given a check up. She had a very swollen leg, paws were all sore with open wounds. She was pretty skinny, under fed for sure. She was placed on antibiotics, pain meds, fecal, heartworm test were done. An x-ray of her leg was done. 253.62 worth of vetting revealed she is heart worm negative, was placed on heart guard, fecal of course showed many worms, she was given medicine for, also given medicine for nasal mites. We purchased a boot for her foot because it was knuckling. However; foster says that has corrected and all is good. A young lady took her in to foster and she has made a great recovery. She is now ready to find her forever. Foster had hoped to keep her, but can't. Please share and if interested please fill out application on our website carolinahelpingpawsrescue.org.
Our journey started when we took in a Chocolate Lab named Roxie. We brought her into our home setting and our hearts took over from there. She is our Inspiration and she is still with us today. We are a volunteer group of animal loving people who are the voice for as many as we can be. We can't look into the eyes of an animal and not see the soul that is there. We can't turn our heads and let it be someone's place to help. We all must do whatever is necessary. After that being said, we can't do it alone. We need all the volunteers, help, donations and sharing we can get. We are always looking for fosters to step up to save a life. We provide the food and vetting, we ask that you open your heart and home to help them to reach their final forever home. We are just a stepping stone to their forever home. You can help make that happen. If anyone is interested in anyway to helping our cause we welcome you. We always need fundraising ideas, people to help with fundraiser. We save animals from shelters, abuse cases, neglect and the poor souls who are dumped. We encourage anyone to lend a helping hand in some way. Doing something small is better than not doing anything at all.

Come Meet Our Pets...
Call and we will set up a time and location. We are fostered based and do not have a facility at this point in time. We do have adoption events at Tractor Supply on Broad Street in Sumter, SC. and we can make that a location to meet.
Our Adoption Process...
Adoption fee is $150.00 - $200.00 per puppy/dog (depending on medical expenses) and $50-$75 per kitten/cat. Our adoption includes that all animals are up to date on shots, worming, vetting according to their age. All of our dogs are to be spayed/neutered, and a voucher will be included if not old enough to be done. NO EXCEPTIONS...it is stated in our contract. Also, if for any reason you find yourself not able to keep the animal, they are ALWAYS to be returned to us if need arises to do so.
