Sweet and gentle!

Harriet is a sweet and gentle momma cat busy raising her 5 identical quintuplets.  You are probably wondering why we have chosen to market this little tabico girl as a siamese mix.  For one thing, she has lots of siamese characteristics, eyes, body shape, etc., but also, she gave birth to 5 identical flamepoint siamese kittens!  Born on the grounds of a local Shirdi Sai Temple , our momma Harriet kept moving her little family to avoid our rescue efforts (thus the name Harriet, after Harriet Tubman, hero of the Underground Railroad).  We finally located five little white balls of fur in a  hollowed out stump in the woods behind the Temple.  Harriet will be finished raising her kittens in mid-October, and is available for preadoption.  We'd just love for this little girl to go to her home at the same time her kittens find theirs.  She probably lived her whole life on the grounds of the Temple, living on the kind handouts from Temple members.  Their adoption fee covers their vaccinations, wormings and vet care through the date of adoption, as well as their spays.   If you'd like to meet this awesome little family, please email, or call 770-831-5513.

La Maison du Chat is located at 289 W Shadburn Ave in Historic Buford, Ga. 30518 and our phone number is 770-831-5513.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our adoption center is located in Historic Buford, Ga. It is called La Maison du Chat, (House of the Cat) and it is a "Cat Cafe" but we don't serve food, just coffee and tea and an occasional pastry for our guests. Visitors are welcome even if they are not adopting one of our kitty's. It is a house built just for the rescued cats and kittens of CatRangers. The adoption process is similar to sitting in your own living room and meeting your prospective adoption candidate kitty. There are no cages and kitty's are able to lounge in various areas of the house and greet you. A cup of tea or coffee will be provided if desired. The kitty's at La Maison du Chat adjust to their new homes very quickly because they already live in home like environment, yet every one of them was a "last chance" kitty in a dire situation. Our center is also a small retail area for cat oriented gifts and all proceeds from the retail benefit the CatRangers rescue. We are open from 12-6 on Saturday and Sunday and by appointment during the week. We also hold special events at the center.
