Jax's Story...
Hi Everyone...I'm Jax and I was originally brought to the VHS as a stray and was soon adopted. But I'm here again after only 4 months because my people were having serious difficulties. I have a history of doing well with kids, and though I didn't live with other dogs, I liked the dog next door. I'm successfully crate trained and like chew toys and car rides. My person described me as smart and lovable. I haven't had a very stable life so far so I'm hoping for a furever home where I can settle in, feel loved and secure and return that love a thousandfold. And please don't just leave me outside. It's lonely and boring out there without you and that's probably how I ended up at the VHS the first time. If you're looking for a furever buddy to become a beloved family member, I hope it's going to be me.
My adoption fee includes my spay/neuter, up to date immunizations, nationally recognized microchip and more.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jax, a Evansville Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Evansville, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Evansville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Evansville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Evansville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Evansville paves the way for another one to be saved.
