ABOUT SPIKE
Spike earned Student of the Week twice in three weeks!

He has come so far and he is the best dog. Located at Westerly Animal Shelter, he's looking for his forever home! Great with kids, people, loves to play, knows so many commands, is super smart and loving, gives great kisses and aims to please. And he loves pizza. He would do great as an only dog and possibly with another down the line, contact me if interested!

Two year old Spike is a resident of Westerly Shelter and a participant in Handsome Dan's Rescue Shelter Dog Enrichment Program where he attends weekly training classes with his Shelter Dog Enrichment Specialist, Janelle.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Spike, a Cranston Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Cranston, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Cranston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cranston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cranston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cranston paves the way for another one to be saved.
