This is Shiro he hasn't had the greatest first years of his life but we have stepped in to help change that. Shiro was brought into the shelter down South as a ... stray. He is a petite little boy at only 8 pounds, and is estimated to be 2-3 years old. Shiro sadly has a liver shunt, unfortunately he is one of the cases who is not a candidate for surgery. What this means for the long run is shiro will need to be on a strict diet for the rest of his life. This adorable little pocket pup would love to be a part of your family. Because of his lover shunt Shiro's life expectancy is unknown he could live 6 months, or 8 years. This all depends on how his body responds to the diet we set up for him. Please apply to foster or adopt this sweet boy, he deserves to live the rest of his known in a loving home. http://www.nycsecondchancerescue.org/app-form/
