Umm, shouldn’t you be petting me right now? I’m pretty sure you should be. I’m currently looking for someone who likes long walks, cuddling and all around attention (bit of an attention hog). I love meeting new friends both two and four legged, although I might be too much for younger kids as I get very excited and forget how big I am.
Believe it or not, I'm only around two years old! Even though I look older, weighing in around 65lbs. I’m really good on leash and love hitting the trails, beach and going for a stroll downtown. Surprising as it may be I could really benefit from some basic obedience training as my manners are a bit rusty. This shouldn’t be too hard since I love food and am obviously super smart! Are you going to be the lucky one to take me home?
If you are interested in adopting Claude please email SLN2310@yahoo.com and request an application. Once your application has been received and reviewed, you will be contacted via email or phone by one of our volunteers. After your application is approved, the foster parent for the dog you have selected will contact you to answer any questions you may have and determine if that dog is a good match for your family.
If you have no particular dog in mind, we will be happy to keep your application on file and notify you if the right dog should come into rescue. Catahoula Rescue of New England is an all-volunteer group. Dogs in our program are fostered by volunteers. The foster homes care for our dogs as if they were their own. All dogs have received vaccinations appropriate to age and are spayed or neutered.
Claude's adoption donation is $400 which includes Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella, fecal test, heartworm test when appropriate and is on preventative, microchip, and neuter. We do not have a physical shelter, all of our dogs are fostered in individual foster homes across the New England and Canada.
