Hi I'm Poppy, I was found wondering around the northern metro when some nice people picked me up and brought me inside. About week later a nice foster family came and brought me to their house where I now live with another small dog and a really big dog, but I don't mind (they're easy going like me). I so like their 9 year old daughter and she has two older sisters that I get to play with and cuddle with on the weekends. They have soft blankets that I love crawling under - sometimes I make my foster mom panic, when all five pounds of me are snuggled in, I'm hard to see. I just love cuddling and being held. When I get excited I stand up really tall and walk on my back legs (they must like it because they give me treats). I would love to find a warm home with lots of blankets and someone to cuddle; after all when it turns white outside, it gets cold!
Poppy was recently diagnosed with a heart murmur, but this does not seem to be slowing her down. Her veterinarian feels she is doing well, but may need medication in the future.
Poppy is part of our "Seniors for Seniors" adoption program. Her adoption fee of $125 is reduced to $65 for anyone over the age of 65.
