Micah's Info...

Micah's Story...
Miss Micah was surrendered to an open intake facility with her 6 babies. Unfortunately, one was adopted out at around 5-6 weeks old but we were able to pull the remaining to safety. Micah is a 35 lb German Shep mix. She is so tiny and sweet!! She is about 2-3 years old and a sweet little girl. And gorgeous too! Micah is a well behaved girl deserving of a forever home. She is incredibly docile and calm for a young dog. And did we say beautiful? Micah is great with children, other dogs, and cats too!! She's a pocket shepherd and ready for a forever home and family of her own. Micah was adopted but unfortunately the family went through a rough divorce leaving Micah and the other pets in the home....homeless again. This isn't fair for such a wonderful dog! She deserves her long term home and family!

If interested in meeting and potentially adopting please complete the adoption application located at forbellessake.org. FBS adoption fee is $175 and all residents are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and treated for any other known medical needs. *a fenced yard is required for adoption. If no yard (condo, apartment), a mandatory leash is required with access to a dog park for unleashed exercise. *breeds and mature sizes of puppies are not guaranteed. *housetraining is not guaranteed. Although we work on it with every resident, our primary focus is major behavioral and medical rehabilitation. Even dogs displaying housetrained behaviors at rescue can regress when in a new home, environment, and routine.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Micah, a Minot Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Minot, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Minot.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Minot already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Minot breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Minot paves the way for another one to be saved.
