Sandy is about 7 years old and weighs 13 pounds. She has a sad story to tell. Found in a field so completely matted you couldn't see her eyes. Her ears were so badly infected that they had maggots in them. She was taken to an animal shelter where she was shaved down and they found foxtails, rose thorns and plastic netting in her coat. Her eyes were so crusted over that they were closed shut and her nails so long she could hardly walk. Still she was the sweetest girl and gave kisses to the vets taking care of her. We rescued her and she is at our vet receiving treatment for her badly infected skin, her ears and her dry eyes. Sandy is just a darling girl who wants nothing more than to be cherished and loved. She is a quiet girl who despite all she has been through, still loves people. When her coat grows in she will need regular grooming.
