My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet the handsome Chubby Checker. Chubby is neutured, microchiped, and up to date with his vaccinations. He was originally found stray and it is guessed that his age is 3 years old. Chubby is a loving, sweet, and obedient dog who has bonded very quickly with his foster mom. He loves practicing his obedience daily for treats. He practices, sit, down, sit stay, down stay, wait, come, touch, and look a little bit every day. We're still working on heel. Chubby loves food and will do just about anything for a treat. When he first came into his foster home he become so attached to his foster mom that he would bark excessively when left home alone. He has come a long way and is no longer barking when left alone. Toys filled with treats to keep him busy (kong wobbler is his fabourite) and not being crated. A home with children over 13 years is what he needs as well as someone who is home a lot. Chubby has been attending agility for fun once a week and enjoys it a lot. A few weeks ago he competed in a mini competition and placed 4th! There are 3 other dogs in his class and being around them each week has helped build his confidence.

Chubby has been fed a raw diet and LOVES it. He enjoys chicken, turkey, beef, pork, venison, rabbit and all meat really. He loves freeze dried liver and dehydrated lung and chicken. It would be great if his new home could continue to feed him this way and if unfamiliar with raw feeding his foster mom can definately mentor them through it. It's easier than it sounds and costs about $20 month. She will provide 1 month of free food and a list of contacts for purchasing meat from.
