Paco is a chihuahua/terrier mix. His owners lost their home and became an orphan in rescue. He is 8 years old and needs to lose weight (he currently weighs about 20lbs). We loving call him "Fat Paco". :-) He is currently growing some spots of hair back in from many hot spots he arrived with which have all healed.

Paco is very loving and snugly with his foster mom. He is a low-key boy who you would call "lazy". He is currently fostered with several dogs but picks and chooses who he likes. He seems to be the best with other dogs that are low-key like himself. He LOVES to go for walks and you'll see a lot of energy out of him when he sees his leash and harness!

This time in foster-care is his first move. He was with his original family since he was a puppy. He is leery of strangers and doesn't make a good first impression. He is not the type of dog you would take to a child's baseball game or any major social event. He's pretty much only loves his own family. Because of this, he'll also be a great alert dog to strangers around the home.

He does bark at strange noises or the neighbors or what have you. Inside, he is quiet but outside, he looks for the squirrels or birds or anything he can bark out. His bark is not very loud and he does come inside when you call him.

A fenced yard is not required. He can easily go out on a long lead or simply take walks for potty duties. He is house-trained and crate-trained.

Because of his restricted devotion, we would not feel comfortable putting him in a home with small children. For older children, he would learn who is "family" and be ok.

His "dream" home consists of a loving single person, couple or family with older children who don't have a super active home. Visitors would just need to leave him alone and allow him to come up to them without trying to pet him.

So, if someone is looking for a devoted dog that enjoys lap time, watching TV and going for walks, this is your boy!!

If you are interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application located at

All Dogs Unlimited Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on all shots, and are given a monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Upon adoption, all vet records and any current medications are provided to the adopter.

THE SUBMISSION OF YOUR APPLICATION DOES NOT GUARANTEE AN ADOPTION NOR DOES IT OBLIGATE YOU TO ADOPT. Multiple applications are accepted for any available pet and a home is chosen that is the best match between the available pet and the potential furever family. Your application will be processed as quickly as possible and if approved, a home visit would be scheduled. No adoption is final until an Adoption Agreement is presented and agreed to by both parties.

Our goal is to find the right match of our dogs to their new family so all involved are furever happy! Questions: email

And THANK YOU for considering a rescue dog for your family!

About Dogs Unlimited Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Dogs Unlimited Rescue, Inc. is an all volunteer non-profit 501(c)3 organization that is dedicated to educating the public and saving abused and neglected animals from an uncertain fate. Our organization rescues animals from high kill shelters, abuse or neglect cases, owner surrenders, and the breeding parents in Ohio puppy mills that would otherwise be inhumanely disposed of. We improved their lives by providing quality care and placement into permanent loving homes. We will continue to educate, rescue, rehabilitate and encourage the adoption of pets from shelters and rescue groups.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our rescue animals are fostered in approved homes. these homes and fosters are carefully chosen and qualified on a case by case basis. We conduct adoption events at Pet People in Woodmere and Hudson, OH as well as combine fundraisers with adoption events to promote Rescue efforts and recruit volunteers and donors.

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption fees range from $50 to $250. Dogs Unlimited Rescue requires an adoption application to be filled out by the potential adopter, which requires 2 personal references and a vet reference. After the potential adopter is approved to adopt, the adopter is required to fill out an adoption agreement at the time of the adoption which clearly states all requirements and agreements between the adopter and Dogs Unlimited Rescue.

Our Adoption Application is located here:

(Please be advised we do not ship our dogs; we do not adopt our unaltered pups out-of-state; and we do not have a physical shelter - all our dogs are cared for in loving foster homes)
