Carissa is a precious 4 month old hound mix that is searching for a special home. This sweet girl was dumped in the play yard and the shelter and is now searching for a family of her own. As you will notice in the pictures Carissa's front paw has a birth defect. At this time it does not bother her but she will need a special home that is willing to put a bootie on her when she goes out to play so she isn't walking on her skin. She will also need someone that will watch her weight so she is not putting excess weight on her paw and she will not make a good running or hiking partner due to her birth defect. At this time the vet did not recommend any surgery; however, she will need some special TLC for this special girl. Carissa LOVES other dogs, playing, and is doing amazing on her house training. She is an extremely intelligent Hound/Lab mix that will make someone very happy. She is still 100% puppy and will need to learn her basic manners; but who doesn't love puppies? If you can commit to a lifetime of love and caring for Carissa no matter what her future holds then please apply today to adopt this amazing puppy!
