Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet me at the Grand Opening of the Olive Branch Dog Park at the OB City Park Saturday, November 12th from 10am to 2pm.
Hound Doggie is 1-2 yo, heartworm negative, neutered, weighs 58 pounds, microchip, well-mannered, plus house trained. He is very human oriented and knows lots of basic commands.
He is currently in boarding and would love to be in a foster home or adopted.
Hound Doggie was found as a stray and appeared to have an injury since he was limping. He was taken to Dr. Parker, a Orthopedic specialist at Shelby Center for an evaluation. It was determined that he had an old injury from his puppy days of a broken rear leg. The injury was never treated and it caused his bone plate to grow too long causing him to have a little skip hop when he walks. He is not in any pain and no surgery is required.
It was also found that he has a pellet embedded in his right rear leg as well. It is just under the skin and does not effect him in anyway. Sad that he was shot at and not cared for properly in his early days. But despite his less than a good start in life, he is just such a happy guy. Wags his tail and loves everyone he meets.
Due to his breed it is not recommended that he goes to a home with cats.
His adoption fee is $120.
