Facts about Timmy

  • Breed: Tibetan Spaniel/Pekingese Mix
  • Color: Tan/Yellow/Fawn
  • Age: Senior
  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
  • Sex: Male
  • ID#: P2012064
Timmy was originally found tied to a pole, abandoned by the people who were supposed to love him. He was brought to animal control where he was in danger of being euthanized. He ended up at our rescue shortly after because he needed some TLC. Timmy has been through a lot emotionally and needs an understanding owner. He is sensitive about things around his neck, most likely a result of being tied up. He can be possessive of his resources which we are working on but he will need to go to an experienced home to continue his training. Timmy is not good with kids but loves to play with other dogs! He also loves to play fetch and is very fast and brings the ball back with joy and enthusiasm. It is heartwarming to see the dog who has been abused, light up and play and learn to enjoy life.
Despite of what he has been through, Timmy warms up to people quickly and likes to snuggle on their laps. He can be silly and playful.
Timmy is absolutely adorable. He is only ten lbs and not getting any bigger. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm tested negative. For more info please contact us at 516 378 4340 or come visit him at 2 Rider Place, Freeport NY. adoption hours 11am to 6pm

About Bobbi and the Strays

About Our Rescue Group...

Bobbi and the Strays is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt animal welfare organization, and a no-kill agency.

We rescue stray dogs and cats from harmful situations ranging from abuse and neglect to imminent euthanasia. All animals are examined and treated by a veterinarian and updated with vaccinations, spayed/neutered, and will undergo healthcare or rehabilitation as necessary. We then find permanent, loving homes for these animals who may never have known kindness. We also provide educational programs to schools and the community, educating children and adults on responsible pet ownership. We also have Spay-Neuter/Release programs, organizing monthly spay/neuter services around the community with the ASPCA van.

We have dedicated volunteers who help rescue, foster, and care for the animals, as well as helping out at adoption days.

Donations are always needed to continue our work, and we rely on the support of those who share our vision of a world where animals are treated humanely, given loving homes, and where organizations such as ours are a thing of the past. We believe in our dream.

Our Adoption Process...

We require all potential adopters to complete an adoption form. We will make arrangements to meet with you, inspect the home where the animal will live, and, once approved, you'll be able to take home your new family member. Fees will be discussed with potential adopters.

We also require that adopters keep us updated on the well being of their pets and, if for any reason they are no longer able to keep the animal, they MUST call us to return the animal to us. We will pick up if necessary.
