Dart's Story...
Hi everyone! My name is Dart and my foster Mom and Dad says I'm the most loving little guy they've ever met! I love everything and everyone but I don't like being alone. My perfect family would have lots of people and maybe a furry friend or two. I'm about 8 months old but people are always surprised to hear that because I'm so calm and well behaved! My foster Mom thinks I could be a therapy dog but I would also be happy to be the family dog that comes along for everything! You could teach me to play ball or frisbee too but it's more my foster sister's game. I'd rather snuggle up in your lap for an afternoon siesta or be out and about meeting new friends. I can't wait to find out all about my perfect family!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dart, a Allen Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Allen, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Allen.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Allen already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Allen breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Allen paves the way for another one to be saved.
