We have adoption events every weekend at the PetCo in Chesterfield (1781 Clarkson Rd.) Saturdays from 11 to 5 and Sunday from 11 to 3. If you would like to adopt this pup, please fill out an application on our website: If we do not receive an application or email, it is not guaranteed this pup will come to the adoption event.

Maggie is a great dog. Not yet a year old, she is great with dogs, cats and children but not chickens. NO Chickens. Her skin and coat are healing from a very treatable condition that is greatly improved by a diet of quality food and regular treatment. When she has her coat back she will be a gorgeous girl. She is fully grown at 51 pounds.

Spay/Neutered, Micro-chipped, all vaccines possible are current to date, ready to go home, if this is the one for you, go to our website - Click on the link to the application, complete and send. An application doesn't obligate you to adopt, but - when approved, this pup will be waiting for you.

Housetrained? That depends on you. Every dog has to learn a new routine in a new home. A fenced yard makes that much easier for you... but honestly, if you don't go out with your new dog, she or he won't know what you want. A crate and frequent trips out is a must for the first two weeks, longer for a pup. A crate will enable your new dog to succeed. Housetraining tips are in your adoption packet.

Adoption Fees: We take cash (and we love it) credit cards and checks. As with all of our adoptions, we know it is hard to get married on a blind date... even to a wonderful pup. We will take our dog back give a full refund in the first week. After 7 days, we will take your puppy back and you can consider your adoption fee a tax deductible donation to a very appreciative organization. To hold a pup longer that the earliest possible delivery date, we ask for a $50 non-refundable deposit.

About Diana's Grove Dog Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We are one of many grassroots animal rescue groups. Grassroots. Caring for abandoned and unwanted dogs consumes our time, energy and financial resources. You might wonder why we do it. Here is why:

I believe that each one of us is called to do what stands before us to be done. You might be called to stand up for your political beliefs or devote your resources to your church or your spiritual work. You might be a volunteer and provide necessary community services. Some of you, like me, care for abandoned dogs, cats and other animals...just not at home or not so many at home. Like you, I do what I can. Our land and our staff enable us to do what stands before us to do; we take in abandoned dogs.

We live in a rural area with limited resources. There are very few services for people and none for unwanted dogs and cats. There are no local vets, animal care facilities or doctors. When we get a call or see a dog wandering on the roadside, we decide what to do. Should we say yes or should we acknowledge our limitations and be realistic? Here in Cabool, MO I can’t kid myself. The next solution isn’t coming down the road behind me. If we don’t do it, no one will. The dog that we don’t take may well die a slow, lonely death in the woods. If at all possible, we take the dog. We provide medical care, food, shelter and lots of love. In order to continue our work, we must find homes for the dogs in our care. Yes, we are a no-kill shelter, but the dogs that we can’t take don’t live in a no-kill world. Every dog that we place means another dog can live.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We will be PetCo in Chesterfield every Saturday from 11:00 am until 5:00 pm and Sunday from 11:00 am to 3:30pm. We bring about 65 dogs and pups to meet you. A list of who is coming is on our Facebook Page on Friday. We will announce our PetCo Adoption days on Facebook as well.

Our Adoption Process...

The adoption fee varies for each dog and is listed with the information about the dog. For each adoption, we request that an application be completed along with an adoption contract. Both of these items can be found at in the center column.
