Our rescue will be at the Palo Alto Pet Food Express Saturday, October 22nd from 1-4pm and Sunday, October 23rd from 12-3pm. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated and microchipped.
* If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. * We do not have a facility. All dogs live in foster homes. Arrangements to meet dogs occur after an approved application has been accepted. * We do not ship our dogs for any reason. * Our adoption fee is $400 for each dog/puppy. * If it is on a weekend of our adoptions, follow us on @DPSRescue on Twitter to get real time updates on our adoptions. We will also post at the end of the evening the names of those dogs who have been adopted: www.facebook.com/DPSRescue
This dog will be at Palo Alto Pet Food Express on Saturday, October 22nd from 1-4pm and Sunday, October 23rd from 12-3pm or until adopted. However, we do meet with those who submit an application and are approved just prior to the event (by invitation only) and they are given the first opportunity to adopt. If you are interested in one of our dogs, we recommend filling out an application prior to the event to be considered. Applications submitted within 24 hours of the event may not necessarily be reviewed.
Minion is a 1-2 year old Brussels mix who we rescued from a shelter. He was just too friendly to leave behind! This little guy weighs under 10 lbs. Minion hasn't met a stranger yet! He adjusts quickly to new people he meets and within minutes, he'll be jumping up to give you kisses. Minion's little tail is always wagging; he's just a super-happy guy. He's friendly and outgoing from the start, but he also loves to sit in your lap and chill.
Minion gets along well with other dogs. He can peacefully co-exist with anyone he's met so far. He's definitely more into his people. He loves to be with them and he's a snuggler and a cuddler. He's an option for going to work with Mom or Dad. He'd love hanging out or being a meeter and a greeter for clients.
Minion is not a nuisance barker. His foster has been working with him on crate-training and he's doing well. Minion proved himself over the weekend at adoptions meeting and greeting strangers and then with a gaggle of kids over to his foster home he once again proved to do well and we think he could be an option for a first time dog owner! If there are children, they need to be over the age of 7.
**Not all of our dogs go to each adoption event. We want to make sure if you are interested in a dog that we have the dog at adoptions but that can only happen if you fill out an application ahead of time and are pre-approved. (Generally this must happen prior to the weekend)
**If you are wanting to submit an application within 24 hours of an event, please print off the application and bring with you as well as submitting it. You may still submit it and if time and volunteers permit, we will contact you. Most applications submitted the weekend of adoptions are not responded to until after the adoption weekend.
