Ricoh's Story...
Meet Ricoh....
Name: Ricoh
Breed: Purebred Havanese
Age: 2
Temperament: Friendly/Nervous
Good with Dogs: Yes
Good with Cats: Unknown (can test upon request - we believe he would be fine with cats based on temperament)
Good with Kids: Older Kids preferred
Ricoh was surrendered from a breeder. He is very friendly, but commotion can make him very nervous and scared. This is why we prefer older children. He does not do well in a rescue environment with all of the dogs barking. He is HW negative, therefore, out of state adoptions are plausible since he is approved for transport.
If you are interested in adopting Ricoh, you can email: for an adoption application.
NOTE: No Facebook messages about adoption application status. Please direct all questions via email. Please give at least 2 weeks for application to be processed. Thank you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ricoh, a Fort Valley Havanese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Havanese for sale in Fort Valley, or seeking a Havanese dog from a breeder in Fort Valley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fort Valley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fort Valley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Havanese breeders who help with Havanese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fort Valley paves the way for another one to be saved.
