My name is Maui. I was born to a feral mom in a root cellar under a house. I did not see humans or daylight until I came into rescue at 4 weeks old. I tried to be a tough boy but I was just really scared. My foster family has worked really hard to show me that humans are good and to try and not be afraid anymore.
I am the leader of my pack and always look out for my siblings. My best playmate is my twin sister Molokini (Molly). I am very independent. I love toys that make sounds and those crinkle balls are the best thing ever! I like calm dogs and other cats. I like pets and scratches on my head. I will let you pick me up but it makes me very uneasy. I am more comfortable with all four feet on the floor. I would do best in a home without smaller children as I can play bite. I am a huge boy! I have come a long way with my foster family but I am ready to find my forever home. I need a patient family who will take it slow while keeping me inside and safe while I get to know them.
