JoJo is looking great a few weeks now past his surgery. Although he is on crate rest, he hates it and is so excited when he gets out and lays in the sun. We are so proud of him-after being hit by a car, he went from nearly losing both front legs, to losing one and has adapted perfectly. JoJo is a 2-4 year old boxer mix, neutered, hw negative, current on all vaccines, and about 45-50 lbs.We are still searching for a wonderful home for him. He is doing well and has healed from his surgery. He is getting around well. If anyone knows of anyone who can help us find the right home for this sweet dog he will love you forever! He would do best with non-domineering dogs, preferably female. Or a single dog family. He loves his people and can be protective of them. So if some one who lives alone and wants to feel safe......here you go. Please share and help us find the right home for him. He has been through a very difficult recovery and wants a place and human to call his own! Jojo is located in the San Antonio area, so an adopter from this area would be fantastic. We honestly feel he'd be a great therapy companion dog for a special needs or disabled adopter. We can arrange transport anywhere though, for the right home and the committed adopter.
About Grateful hearts Senior Dog Rescue - Ohio Chapter
We are a small group of ladies specializing in rescuing primarily senior dogs off death row in Texas shelters-we have a committed and large foster network in Texas, and rescue there because of their high kill rates-and senior dogs have little hope of making it out alive. We do occasionally rescue younger dogs as well, if their time has run out and they are headed for euthanasia. All dogs come fully vetted, along with initial meds if needed for any treatment.
