Wilma's Story...
Up for adoption in Texas and New England: Wilma.

Wilma is sweetness on four legs. She's a gentle girl, even when she gets puppy silly and playful. She lives to hang out at your feet and is quiet and chill until you're ready to play with her. Wilma can be a little shy meeting new people and in new places but she warms up quickly. She loves other dogs and kids, and may also be fine with cats. There were quite a few on her visit to the vet and she wasn't even interested in checking them out. Wilma is house trained and loves her crate. When you give her a special toy or chewy she takes it straight to her crate to settle down and enjoy. She's just learning to walk on leash but she doesn't really pull; she just doesn't quite know what to do. This dainty pretty girl is an easy keeper who would love a home with someone who makes time for her and will be patient with her shyness in new situations. She rides well in the car and it would be great if she could have occasional outings to expand her world.

This could be like... the perfect pup! :) Wilma is about 10-12 months old and weighs about 35 lbs

She is spayed, vaccinated, micro-chipped and ready to roll! Apply for her at www.luckylabrescue.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Wilma, a Austin Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Austin, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
