I’m Skipper the handsome young, energetic, proud, courageous and spirited 12 lb., under a year old Miniature Pinscher mix. I’m getting older and like to chew, tug and play most of day. I walk two times a day to burn off some of my energy. I’m leash trained and love to prance with my head held high and my tail curled over my back.
I’m house broken for the most part. Watch for my signs. I’ll come and get you or run to the outside door, sometimes I bark or even whine. Be patient with me I want to be a good boy. A “Good Boy” pat or even a treat encourages me to be good.
I like to relax and watch TV before I go to bed, sports are my favorite along with dog movies. I play in the woods in the leaves or snow, even bringing back a branch or two. I am kept on a “Trolley” wire most of the time but, when I sneak out I do come back when called (the word “Treat” gets my attention).
I’ve filled out a bit now and look pretty shapely. My puppy head still looks too small for my body as do my long spindle legs. I’m not going to be very big (I have small paws). Don’t let my size fool you I’m a big dog trapped in a small body with a lot of potential. But I can get the idea that I am in charge, and I need a strong leader to remind me that I will *never* be the boss.
If you like that wash and wear type of dog that’s me! My coat is mostly black with balanced tan marking on head, chest and legs. Everything is a toy and fair game for me to play with so, tell me NO and mean it!
I’m looking for that forever home with older children or adults, who will be willing to work with me and we can grow together.
Adoption Fee: $450
We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433
***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians.
If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following:
Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped.
If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs by 6 months of age. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months of age, they will need to be spayed/neutered at one of our preferred clinics. This will be determined by your contract along with the month they should have their surgery. This is included in your adoption fee.
Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home.
If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home.
If a dog is listed as PENDING, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all.
Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out.

NOTE: Some shelters have physical locations you can visit; some of these shelters may only have pets for a limited time, so please do not wait for a reply—just go visit the shelter! Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply.
